The Music of Hancock & Roberts
They are two of the greatest pianist-composers: Herbie Hancock and Marcus Roberts, Wynton Marsalis
leads the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with special guest vibes master Bob Hutcherson on a voyage
from Herbie's legendary jazz standards of the '60s to his funky tunes of the 'Headhunters' era and
beyond. For the second half, Marcus Roberts himself joins the full orchestra with his trio to present a
program of his own outstanding original works.
