Celebrating its 19th year, Sound Liberation, an eclectic chamber ensemble/band, presents a concert re imagining Funk. Sound Liberation's musical philosophy, developed by band founder Gene Pritsker, is based upon "ending the segregation of sound vibration. The group incorporates its philosophy by performing compositions that encompass a diverse range of musical genre, heavily influenced by hip-hop and rock rhythms. On March 5th the band takes on the subject of Funk at NYC’s DROM. With 3 world premieres of brand new eclectic Funk compositions by David ‘Criminal Cello’ Gotay, Daniel Schnyder and Gene ‘Noizepunk Pritsker, as well as music from their recent album ‘DAYS’ on Composers Concordance Records. ...
