Drummer/Composer Brian Adler created the Helium Project as an experiment to see what would happen if jazz musicians from different cultural backgrounds came together – each bringing their unique, musical artistry towards one cohesive endeavor. After traveling throughout Argentina and Germany, the Helium Project has now evolved into a series of collaborations with musicians from all over the world. Music is written specifically to bring out the diverse qualities in these incredible players. Join Brian Adler on January 3rd at Spike Hill for the second gig of the New York Helium Project, featuring trumpeter Matt Holman, bassist Mark Lau, and special guest, guitarist Juan Pablo Arredondo visiting from Argentina.
