About
Herbie Coleman pays homage to the more obscure music of Herbie Nichols, Ornette Coleman and Carla Bley among others. The members of the band also compose original compositions written in the style of these great jazz composers. Featuring Nick Sanders โ piano, Alex LoRe โ alto saxophone, Martin Nevin โ bass and Kenneth Salters โ drums, the group seeks to bring a deeper awareness to these composers by performing music which isn't often played in public.
