The "stunning" (New York Magazine) vocalist and globally-inspired composer Imani Uzuri returns to the Blue Note on April 1 to perform songs from her new acclaimed album, The Gypsy Diaries, which draws on her rural Southern roots as well as influences ranging from Sufi devotionals to Romany laments. Recently praised in The New York Times for her "gorgeously chesty ruminations", Uzuri will be joined by a stellar group of musicians who are all featured on the album.
