The Jeff Fairbanks Jazz Orchestra plays Jeff's original mix of modern Jazz and traditional Asian folk music. Fresh from the studio, the band just recorded its debut album, with its release anticipated late this year. It features a cast of 22 players, including Asian percussion, Korean kayageum (zither), and guest bari sax soloist Fred Ho. Composer Jeff Fairbanks was recently awarded the Queens Arts Council's 2010 Individual Artist Initiative.
