Consequently, drumming — and in turn rhythm — has become the backbone of everything that has evolved from the first humans to the latest Ableton session. Join us in celebrating the work of Elvin Jones, sideman to Miles Davis (Blue Moods, Sketches of Spain), John Coltrane (A Love Supreme, Africa/Brass) and Wayne Shorter (Speak No Evil) among countless others as well as a bandleader in his own right. The equally influential Billy Hart will be paying tribute with a group led by Michael Feinberg.

Furthermore, we are incredibly excited to announce that Jimmy Cobb will be performing with us for what is sure to be an unforgettable performance. If you've ever heard Kind of Blue, Introducing Wayne Shorter, Cannonball Takes Charge, or Giant Steps you probably already know what we're talking about. Jimmy has been touring with Joey Defrancesco and Larry Coryell as well as some former Miles Davis bandmates for the past year and is sure to bring both experience and that special touch of innovation to his performance.

The full depth of the festival lies in the complete lineup including the likes of Mark Whitfield Jr., Joe Dyson, E.J. Strickland, Kimberley Thompson, Jeff "Tain" Watts, Lenny White, Andrew Cyrille with Oliver Lake, and more. There aren't too many chances to see this much history in one room, so be sure to come celebrate it with us!
