Clarinetist Jon De Lucia presents his trio (the Luce Trio) and music from his new album, and the stars were shining. The group deftly interprets pieces from De Lucia himself, Puccini, Dave Brubeck, along with Italian folk songs. Jazz counterpoint and interplay at its finest, writer Michael Steinman says “the Luce Trio is a beautifully balanced egalitarian affair, with all three players creating ethereal dances, structures, and conversations.” He is joined by guitarist Tatsuya Sakurai and bassist Aidan O'Donnell.
