About

Lara Bello was born in Granada and moved to New York in 2009. After releasing her first album, she was voted Best Spanish Artist in 2010 by the World Music Europe. She has been featured in The New York Times, CNN, PEOPLE magazine, NPR Tiny Desk series, and has performed her music on stages all around the world.

Bello participated in the Spanish documentary 'Lunas de Nueva York' (Moons of New York) about the life of poet, Federico García Lorca’s time in the city. In 2017, she released her album 'Sikame' on Biophilia Records. In 2018, she founded and directed the Alandalus Festival in West Village, New York. She currently works with Carnegie Hall's 'Lullaby Project' and is on the board and chair of programming for the upcoming Ori-gen Festival....
