Trumpeter Lee Hogans leads an organ trio salute to the musical legend and educator Donald Byrd. Byrd's career encompassed a span of approaches, from hard bop to funk and fusion, and influenced pop and hip hop, so Hogans' trio will perform tunes mirroring that jazz to R&B to hip hop continuum.

A 2003 graduate of Rutgers, and student of Clark Terry and William Fielder, Hogans has led his own groups (Pursuance), and toured with Marcus Miller, Maceo Parker, Prince, Jill Scott, Sean Combs and Jay Z.

Produced by G&J Productions and Chef Kenneth Collins, the Renaissance Gospel and Jazz Brunch at MIST Harlem has been touted by many as "the best brunch deal in Harlem!"
