The NATIONAL SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA of CUBA, conducted by ENRIQUE PÉREZ-MESA, makes its return to Lehman Center with a Latin-flavored classical program featuring Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture, Roldan's Three Little Poems, Mozart's Clarinet Concerto featuring clarinet soloist ANTONIO DORTA LAZO, Falla’s The Three-Cornered Hat and Beethoven's Symphony No. 7.

Spanish multi-Grammy Award winner DIEGO EL CIGALA returns to masterfully sing his fiery Flamencos and passionate Tangos. His innovative exploration of the Argentine Tango was the subject of his 2013 Latin Grammy Award-winning album Romance de la luna Tucumana, his second for Best Tango Album, and will be the focus of this concert.
ALEX CONDE, son of legendary Copla singer, Alejandro Conde, Alex Conde is a vibrant and visionary jazz and flamenco pianist and composer from Spain who currently resides in San Francisco. Alex has performed in International Jazz Festivals alongside Paul Simon and Chucho Valdes. He performs on flamenco tours around the United States, Latin America and Canada.

Lehman Center for the Performing Arts is on the campus of Lehman College/CUNY at 250 Bedford Park Boulevard West, Bronx, NY 10468. Tickets for all events can be purchased by calling the Lehman Center box office at 718-960-8833 (Monday through Friday, 10am–5pm, and beginning at 12 noon on the day of the concert), or through online access at www.LehmanCenter.org. Lehman Center is accessible by #4 or D train to Bedford Park Blvd. and is off the Saw Mill River Parkway and the Major Deegan Expressway. Low cost on-site parking available for $5.
Special discounts are built into Lehman’s concert series. “Create your own Series” offers a 10% discount on a minimum of three shows, or a 20% discount for six or more shows, or buy five family shows and receive a 15% discount. (All shows must be purchased at the same time at either the box office or by phone at 718-960-8833.) Plus special $10 tickets for any seat are available for selected shows for children 12 and under, made possible by a grant from Con Edison.
