The Mingus Big Band presents a centennial birthday celebration of the music of iconic jazz composer and bassist Charles Mingus. This 14-piece band has featured some of the most distinctive jazz soloists in the world in the course of their 25-year residence in various New York City venues. The Mingus Big Band tours extensively in the United States and abroad, and has eleven recordings to its credit, six of which have been nominated for GRAMMY® awards. -- When we say "live," we mean it!
