About

The New York Youth Symphony’s Jazz Band is considered one of the best ensembles of its kind. The ages within this group range from early teens to early 20s, making the quality of their sound even more astonishing. With the help of special guest Sean Jones – one of jazz’s great contemporary trumpeters – they will pay tribute to Miles Davis, Dizzy Gillespie, and Louis Armstrong. The band’s new director, Andy Clausen, will also present the world premiere of “The Golden Years.” The New York Youth Symphony Jazz always receives rave reviews for its performances, so check out some of tomorrow’s stars as they celebrate our heritage.
