"… a master of his instrument, a superb storyteller, a gracious human-being.”
-Robert Papaleoni, Co-Executive Producer ” - OLA ONABULE IN CONCERT” WCNY TV (PBS) Syracuse, NY, USA
"OLA ONABULE seems to be made to dominate an audience from the height of a stage… Impressive physical presence, tangible charisma, typically British elegance…from an intimate whisper to an earth-shaking explosion, ivory timbre, a vocal extension that easily reaches the most emotional extremes of both high and low notes."
- ITALIAN VOGUE
"ONABULE is a soul singer of the old school with a commanding presence and a grafting work ethic. His voice has touches of George Benson and Al Jarreau as well as the grittier Memphis style and he has a range and elasticity to match his rich tonal qualities. Onabule and his band will be a hot midnight ticket”
-ROB ADAMS, THE HERALD, Glasgow
“Drawing from the a rich palette of styles that include Soul, Jazz, and Funk, the sophistication of the music – deft harmonic changes that can take the breath away, subtle metrical shifts that catch you unaware – similarly marks Ola Onabule out as a songwriter of impeccable craftsmanship. And taking centre stage throughout is Ola’s remarkable voice, an instrument capable of both caressing the ear and conveying powerful emotion often within the confines of a single song. His falsetto has to be heard to be believed…
-Peter Quinn, Jazzwise, UK.
