2’s & 4’s is the ever growing, monstrous baby of Julio Monterrey in collaboration with Matt Parker and a rotating roster of NYC best avant musicians. Drenched in the history of jazz, this evolving architecture changes the shape of music by incorporating performance art, pastiches of projected collage ‘scores’, samples and slides that push the musical envelope into the future, while maintaining an ever-present homage to heritage. 2sand4sjazz.blogspot.com

11pm Aella

Aella was born through a chance encounter. Patrick Breiner (visiting from Madison, WI), Mette Henriette Rolvag (visiting from Norway) and Max Goldman (living in Brooklyn) came together in Max's basement in New York City in July of 2010. The sounds they produced reeked of intensity and focus, not to mention sweat. Shortly thereafter the they went their separate ways, but not before vowing to take this furious three piece sound machine on the road. This 10 day tour will culminate in the recording of a CD in New York City.
