Since 1996, Partisans have been thrilling audiences in the UK and Europe with their energetic performances of tightly knit themes and groove-based sounds, bridging the gap between New York swing, European improvisation, and UK jam band. They are widely acknowledged as the godfathers of the new wave of British jazz and have played with critically acclaimed musicians like Steve Swallow and Wayne Krantz. Award-winning co-leaders and composers Phil Robson and Julian Siegel are backed by the free-wheeling drive of the UK’s Thaddeus Kelly and US ex-pat Gene Calderazzo.
