Argentine-born Pedro Giraudo has been hailed as one of the most creative and daring composer/bandleaders on the jazz scene today. Downbeat Magazine’s John Murph calls his music ““An opulent listening experience of modern orchestral jazz, brimming with passionate improvisations, contrapuntal melodies, and plush harmonies ." Chip Boaz in the Latin Jazz Corner says “Giraudo's gorgeous artistic expression flows through the music through the colors of Giraudo’s finely tuned compositions." In The Village Voice, Richard Gehr comments “Giraudo's music combines high-concept swing with subtly akimbo Latin American rhythms, witty call-and-and-response conversations, and emotional sustenance aplenty.” And Paul Blair observes in Hot House, “The group is full of compelling soloists.
