Queen Esther’s warm and powerful voice twangs through Black Americana, glides through jazz and swoops and swaggers through the Blues. An award-winning vocalist, songwriter, librettist, playwright, actor and recording artist, Queen Esther also lends her considerable talents to projects by James "Blood" Ulmer, Elliott Sharp and The Hot Five.
