Rasa Rasa at NuBlu Classic

Rasa Rasa was formed in New York City as a result of the long-time collaboration between musicians Kenny Wollesen, Jonathon Haffner, Sean Francis Conway, and Dalius Naujo, who had played together for many years in groups such as Himalayas, Wollesonic Laboratories, Now We Are Here, Bombshell Boom Boom, and the Nublu Orchestra.

Inspired by a traditional style of Lithuanian polyphonic singing (known as sutartinės), this new group brought together various kinds of instrumentation (electric and acoustic), improvisation, and a unique style of conducting.

In 2010, 2011 and 2013 musicians were invited to Vilnius and Kaunas, presenting performances involving local Lithuanian musicians and singers. The encounter between American and Lithuanian musicians was a tremendous success, inspiring new musical friendships and drawing enthusiastic crowds to every concert....
