Smoothe Moose is a label, artist collective and long-running science experiment gone awry. Our shamans of music and sonic science wed the beats and textures of electronic music to the whimsy and adventure of live improvised music. Our artists are primarily schooled in jazz and may even have a considerable classical tutelage, but we also have a deep love for electronic music. We ultimately aim to subvert our influences collectively under one banner: Smoothe Moose Laboratories and Recordings. Sometimes our artists perform purely live instrumental music, other most of the time it's a combination of electronic tweaking alongside live instruments
