Waxpoetics Records
Is Near
Scribing about music just isn’t enough. Wax Poetics Records was
formed to bring timeless, handpicked releases to the ears of eager
listeners. Since August of 2007, many phenomenal artists have shared
their name with the Wax Poetics label. It all began with a reissue of
the extremely rare East of Underground album and flourished from
there. Reissues like the Moments’ “Baby I Want You” b/w “Pray for
Me” 7-inch, Earl Zero’s “Righteous Works” b/w “Heart’s Desire”
12-inch, and the Rhythm and Blues album by Melvyn Price opened
doors to further projects. Most recently, the 12 Star Records disco-rap
compilation and Phenomenal Hand Clap Band’s 15 to 20 indicate the
sounds to come for Wax Poetics RecordsEven the New York Times has declared Wax Poetics “The best and most
exquisitely laid-out music bimonthly in America.” Not bad
