National Heritage Fellowship Award winner and oud and violin master Simon Shaheen will be joined by the ensemble he founded in an effort to promote Arabic music throughout the world. In addition to his work in traditional Arabic music, Shaheen has collaborated with artists such as Sting, Quincy Jones, Bill Laswell, and the Klezmatics.
