Alto saxophonist, Jorge Sylvester; Bassist, Jeff Carney; Drummer, Kenny Grohowski comprise this stellar trio of advanced improvisers. They will perform Sylvester's original compositions with interludes of freely designed instant compositions. Sylvester's illustrious career spans over 40 years both here and abroad. His unique sound and conceptual approach put him at the forefront of the advanced music movement. His life's work has centered around experimenting with Caribbean rhythms. He currently leads composes,arranges and conducts several outstanding ensembles: ConceptualMotion 20 piece Orchestra; Jorge Sylvester ACE (Afro-Caribbean-Experimental) Collective and the Extended version with strings; Jorge Sylvester ACE Trio; and, Dolphy Reimagined Project. In addition, Jorge Sylvesyer is also a a highly valued member of other ground breaking groups including The Collective Identity Saxophone Quartet and George Brandon's Blue Unity Ensemble. Born in Colon, Panama and having lived in Spain for over ten years and New York City since 1980, Jorge Sylvester rightfully takes his place as one of the leading master musicians in jazz and creative music....
