10:30 AM PST - 12:00 PM EST: Masterclass with Joel Harrison & Mike Stern: creating great lines as a soloist with approach tones, diminished and altered scales

12:30 - 2:00 PM EST: Masterclass with Nels Cline: How Nels writes, records, and performs his unique body of work.

2:30- 4:00 PM EST: Masterclass with Ben Monder: Approaches to solo guitar. Ben deconstructs a couple of his amazing chordal/ contrapuntal arrangements.

4:30- 6:00 PM EST: Masterclass with Adam Rogers and Sheryl Bailey: Arpeggios, melodic embellishment, time.

Live sessions will be available for replay following the event and registered participants will have access to the replays.

The Alternative Guitar Summit, founded in 2010, is a yearly event of daring, inventive players who emphasize new and unusual approaches to the guitar. The music we present celebrates the guitar’s enormous range, beyond style or genre.

Music Masters Collective is an established expert in music events with their primary mission to create experiences specifically designed to go “Beyond Backstage”. MMC is committed to taking their mission online to create one-of-a-kind virtual events. Think of these sessions as a little slice of the camp experience from your home.
