Inspired by the great “masters of mood,” from Miles Davis to Santana to Tom Waits, The Blacktails’ sound has often been described as “bluesy, dark, and edgy”. But don’t let that fool you. This jazz/swing/blues band knows how to let loose. And on Friday, February 26, they’re headed back to their NY roots for an exclusive CD release party for their sophomore album Inside Man at the Laurie Beechman Theatre.

A mainstay on the New York jazz and blues scene, including The Iridium where the band has enjoyed multiple sell-outs, The Blacktails have enjoyed success since their first album Spy Lounge.
