The Highliners is a sophisticated, New York City-based jazz quintet, dedicated to creating innovative arrangements of a wide range of material, from the American Songbook to deep-cut classic jazz and bebop, to jazz-pop.

Founded by vocalist Melissa Fogarty and saxophonist Debra Kreisberg, longtime musical collaborators from their conservatory years at the Eastman School of Music to the present, which includes touring the globe as members of renowned klezmer outfits Isle of Klezbos and Metropolitan Klezmer, The Highliners' creative direction reflects its musicians' individual roots in straight-ahead jazz, Latin, klezmer, funk, rock, opera and beyond.
