The International Street Cannibals defy the hierarchical space of the concert hall as they present the rich and diverse aspects and modalities of composition and musical performance. Conceived by Dan Barrett, ISC is steered by co-directors Dan Barrett, Gene Pritsker, and Dan Cooper, with dance director Megan Sipe. From the Holding Tank is ISC's concert series featuring traditional and non-traditional chamber works by European masters, contemporary American composers, and satirists. This series includes Improvisational and semi-staged works presented in ways that aim to expand and de-contextualize the boundaries of the concert hall in order to exploit in novel ways the spatial qualities of each venue.
