Harlem Stage and The Jazz Gallery join forces to present Uptown Nights: Joel Ross Being A Young Black Man. Ross is an extraordinary vibraphonist and composer who has created a work that responds to various experiences in his own life and focuses on identity, family, religion, and the daily struggles of growing up as a Black man in America. He’ll be joined onstage by saxophonists Patrick Bartley and Tivon Pennicott, pianist Jeremy Corren, bassist Junius Paul, and percussionist Marcus Gilmore.
