About
Jazz Vocalist Verena McBee, joined by John DiMartino on piano and Paul Beaudry on bass will feature the music of Cole Porter & Kurt Weill. For the vocalist the two composers are personally very important as they build a connection between her life as an actress in Germany and her now New York life as a jazz vocalist while both composers often have similar subjects to their songs/stories.
Some Brecht/Weill compositions will be presented in their original language: German, while the trio keeps a modern approach to the improvisation.
