Honeycomb Hi-Fi Lounge

Owner Jon Carlson hopes to bring the tradition of Tokyo jazz kissa lounges to Park Slope. Carlson came upon the idea for the bar, which just opened this weekend, after finding a vintage Japanese stereo in his storage unit. Here, he explains the origin of the new cocktail bar’s name. The hi-fi audio lounge will push back on the randomized playlist culture common in most New York bars and slow down the listening experience to play entire sides of a vinyl.
