Although currently a New Yorker, guitarist Will Bernard's unique voice was formed from the rich cultural roots of the San Francisco Bay Area. Along the way, he studied classical music and jazz; played in basements and coliseums; and absorbed the Bay Area Multi-Kultii, New York's downtown edge, and the loose funk of New Orleans. He has performed and recorded with Charlie Hunter, Stanton Moore, Robert Walter, John Medeski, Dr. Lonnie Smith, Ben Sidran, Peter Apfelbaum, Tom Waits, Dr. John, and many others. Will's 2007 record "Party Hats", as well as 1997's "If Four Was One" from the collaborative band T.J. Kirk, were both nominated for Grammy's. He has also been nominated in the DownBeat magazines critics' poll in the "Best Rising Star - Guitar" category. Will is a regular fixture at the New Orleans Jazz Festival, the Jam Cruise, and other such events. He has toured extensively in the U.S. and Europe.

Currently, Will performs with John Medeski's Mad Skillet, Peter Apfelbaum's Sparkler, Frequinox with Stanton Moore and Robert Walter, Pleasure Drones, Brian Charette's Mighty Grinders, and with his own trio and quartet. Will's eighth album as a leader, "Out and About", was released in spring 2016 on Posi-Tone Records.
