The meeting of an Israeli of Yemeni/Moroccan decent, a Detroitraised Black American with Islamic roots, and a Jewish Bostonian stands as a stellar example of how jazz music can transcend race, religion and politics. The members have all performed extensively both as leaders and members of multiple illustrious ensembles. Along with leading his own trio, Goldberg has been a regular member of groups led by Joshua Redman, Kurt Rosenwinkel, and Al Foster; Jackson is a longtime member of Wynton Marsalis small groups and the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra.
