A Tribute To Thad Jones With The Kelly Park Big Band at Musically Minded Academy

The Kelly Park Big Band presents an evening of music from the late great trumpeter Thad Jones. Compositions and arrangements written for Count Basie, Harry James, and of course the world renowned Thad Jones/Mel Lewis Jazz Orchestra will be featured. The Kelly Park Big Band has been the big band in residence at the Sound Room in Oakland for the past two years. It is led by drummer/pianist Kelly Park, former faculty member of the Berklee College of Music, Boston, MA.
