Dave Meder, recent finalist in the American Pianists Awards and Thelonious Monk International Jazz Piano Competition, performs a solo piano concert with a wide-ranging repertoire, including rarely played Monk compositions, minimalist works inspired by Philip Glass, gospel hymns, and pieces on the cutting edge of contemporary jazz harmony. Indeed, Meder’s defining aesthetic is his remarkably postmodern sense of stylistic adventure.
