Come and discover the unique music of Marian McPartland, one of the most beloved figures in jazz. At a time when female instrumentalists were marginalized, Marian achieved wide recognition as a pianist, composer, author, educator, and radio host. The trio will celebrate the centennial year of Marian’s birth by performing her gorgeous but rarely heard original compositions, as well as other music associated with her. This all star group wowed sold out audiences earlier this year at Piedmont Piano and the Sacramento Jazz Coop; this is an event not to be missed!
