With a career that spans decades\, Allan has performed alongside jazz legends like Bobby Hackett\, Wild Bill Davison and Gene Krupa. He was a pivotal member of the Jim Cullum Jazz Band\, traveling the world and recording notable works\, including the only jazz album of Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess.Allan's versatility has seen him grace stages from Carnegie Hall to the Kennedy Center and appear on renowned shows like PBS’s Austin City Limits and NPR’s A Prairie Home Companion.
