Itamar Borochov’s sound is as unique as his musical background. Deeply immersed in the Jazz tradition, Borochov’s search for his personal roots resulted in an ever-expanding love for Arab and Pan-African musical sensibilities – a natural palette for a trumpeter-composer raised in Jaffa, an integrated Muslim-Jewish-Christian city.

Borochov fell in love with Jazz in his teens, and dedicated himself to its study, eventually moving to New York in 2006, to attend The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music. Jonathan Greenstein, originally from Tel-Aviv, Israel, brings the sounds and diversity of his hometown to 21st century Jazz. His music is energetic and melodic, coming from the Jazz tradition and expanding it with undertones of hip-hop, soulfulness and some Israeli Chutzpah. Alongside his explosive showmanship, Greenstein's music is lyrical and emotional, taking the listener on a cinematic journey through organic communication and an emphasis on the song.

After releasing his debut album on the prestigious label Fresh Sound : New Talent and generating great reviews, Greenstein is currently working on several new independent releases. As a band leader who emphasizes and encourages interaction, freedom and the immediacy in Jazz improvisation, these are very live recordings that capture beautiful moments of communication and expression.
