Formed in 2019 in Rouen, Akinroots (related roots in English) is the result of a multicultural encounter between Louis Verger's English piano, Alexandre Bamba's Ivorian bass and Adrien Verger's Norman drumsticks. Coming from the conservatories of Rouen and Grand-Couronne, then students at the Centre des Musiques Didier Lockwood, they represent three different worlds with multiple influences and yet sharing a common root: the desire to create together. From this powerful union is born a homogeneous mix of jazz fusion, afrobeat, neo soul, funk and electro, forming a unique musical universe.

Formé en 2019 à Rouen, Akinroots (racines apparentées en anglais) est le fruit d'une rencontre multiculturelle entre le piano anglais de Louis Verger, la basse ivoirienne d'Alexandre Bamba et les baguettes normandes d'Adrien Verger. Issus des conservatoires de Rouen et Grand-Couronne, puis étudiants au Centre des Musiques Didier Lockwood, ils représentent trois mondes différents aux multiples influences et pourtant partageant une racine commune : le désir de créer ensemble. De cette union puissante nait un mélange homogène entre le jazz fusion, l'afrobeat, la neo soul, la funk ou encore l'électro, formant ainsi un univers musical unique.
