This is precisely what happened to Armel Dupas and Jean-Louis Cousseau. With, as raw material, standards or original compositions on the one hand, and poems in prose or verse on the other, you’ll find them in frenzied dialogue, in no pre-set order, and no guiding principle other than this: to listen closely to one another. Entre un pianiste-compositeur  attentif à la langue et un auteur-comédien passionné de jazz,  il suffit parfois d’un instant pour que les passerelles se lancent, pour que la grammaire se trouve, pour que la complicité se tisse. C’est ce qui est arrivé à Armel Dupas et Jean-Louis Cousseau. Avec comme matière première standards ou compositions originales d’un côté, poèmes en prose ou en vers de l’autre, les voilà donc qui dialoguent à tout va, sans ordre préétabli, sans autre consigne que l’écoute mutuelle. Sous le signe du swing et de l’improvisation, ils inventent à chaque fois de nouvelles constructions sonores où phrases musicales et mélodies des mots s’appellent, s’épaulent, s’épellent, pour le très grand plaisir de partager un bout de route avec les spectateurs que n’effraient pas les chemins  non balisés.
