Friends and former classmates at the Berlin Conservatoire, Pierre Chastel (drums, vocals) and Olga Amelchenko (saxophone) have been cultivating a musical complicity over the years, working together in a wide variety of contexts, from standard jazz to free improvisation.With their new quartet, they propose to weave links between instrumental jazz and songs from a variety of traditions and worlds: folk music, Brazilian music, American songbooks, and so on.

Amis et anciens camarades de classe du conservatoire de Berlin, Pierre Chastel (batterie, chant) et Olga Amelchenko (Saxophone) cultivent depuis années une complicité musicale au fil de multiples collaborations dans des contextes variés allant du Jazz standard à l’improvisation libre.Avec leur nouveau quartet ils proposent de tisser des liens entre le jazz instrumental et des chansons issues de traditions et d’univers divers : musique folk, brésil, american songbook etc.
