Arthur Possing started classical percussion at the age of 6 and classical piano at the age of 10, later in the class of well-known pianist Jean Muller. In 2009, he began jazz piano with Marc Mangen and in 2011, vibraphone with Guy Cabay. In 2016, after finishing secondary school, he began further studies in jazz piano at the Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles with Eric Legnini. The Arthur Possing Quartet was formed in 2013. The members of the group met in highschool (music section) and soon they started to play together regularly. Their repertoire consists of own compositions, as well as tunes of jazzmen they really appreciate. S'essayant à la percussion dès l'âge de 6 ans, Arthur Possing découvre à 10 ans le monde du piano qui devient son instrument de prédilection. Poursuivant des études de musique classique auprès de Jean Muller, il entre en 2009 dans la section jazz du Conservatoire de la Ville de Luxembourg où Marc Mangen le prend sous son aile, tandis qu'en 2011 Guy Cabay lui permet de perfectionner sa maîtrise du vibraphone jazz. Après son baccalauréat au Luxembourg, Arthur commence ses études supérieures en piano jazz au Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles avec Eric Legnini. En 2013, Arthur Possing fonde son propre quartet. Les membres du groupe sont originaire d'Allemagne, de France et du Luxembourg et ont étudié au Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles, au Centre de Musique Didier Lockwood à Paris et à la Musikhoschule Mannheim. Mêlant tradition et modernité, le répertoire du quartet puise dans des compositions personnelles et une sélection toujours imprévisible de morceaux choisis.
