In the Manding languages of West Africa, Balimaya means "kinship", "brotherhood". The group feeds on Mandenka dance rhythms, a source of inspiration to create a music where voices intertwine. The compositions are thought as games, varying grooves, colors and dynamics, opening the way to improvisation

Dans les langues mandingues d’Afrique de l’Ouest, Balimaya signifie “parenté”, “fraternité”.
