| Jazz, compositionsCinnamon Chocho is a resolutely modern jazz quartet, at the crossroads of electric and acoustic worlds, between composition and improvisation, contemporary jazz and Latin sounds.The group stands out with a unique sound palette, mixing electric llanera harp, clarinet, Fender Rhodes, and drums. Without a bassist, the harp and the Moog share the low lines, weaving a rhythmic texture that is both fluid and inventive.Led by drummer Léo Danais's compositions, the repertoire reflects his multiple inspirations - from jazz to world music - in a universe where groove, lyricism, and freedom meet. The quartet's influences range from drummers Makaya McCraven and Stéphane Galland to producer Bonobo, passing through harpist Edmar Castañeda.Winner of the National Jazz Competition at La Défense 2022, finalist of the ReZZo Jazz Showcase in Vienne 2023, and winner of the Occijazz program 2023, Chocho Cannelle emerges as one of the most unique emerging projects on the current jazz scene.Camille HeimA graduate of the Paris Superior Conservatory in classical harp as well as a Master's degree in Orchestra obtained in Germany, Camille Heim has always had a passion for dance music and a great curiosity for jazz.Camille has played with the Radio France Philharmonic Orchestra, Les Siècles ensemble, the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, and the Montpellier National Opera Orchestra...Since 2018, she has been collaborating with drummer Léo Danais with whom she has developed several projects as a musician and composer: their duo CAM&LEO has more than 200 concerts to its credit. In 2020, they created the quartet Chocho Cannelle, which has received several distinctions: Winner of the 45th National Jazz Competition at La Défense, winner of Occijazz 2023, finalist of the Rezzo Jazz Showcase in Vienne 2023. Their first EP was named Revelation by Jazz Magazine, their album "Yo te cielo" was reviewed by around thirty enthusiastic media outlets and received 4 stars from Jazz Magazine.In 2024, Camille was selected for the WIZZ program supervised by Anne Paceo and Airelle Besson, supported by Les Gémeaux, National Stage of Sceaux, and Jazz sous les pommiers. En 2020 ils créent le quartet Chocho Cannelle qui obtient plusieurs distinctions : Lauréat 45° concours national de Jazz à la Défense, lauréat Occijazz 2023, fnaliste du Tremplin Rezzo Jazz à Vienne 2023. Leur premier EP est sacré Révélation par Jazz Magazine, leur album “Yo te cielo” est chroniqué par une trentaine de médias enthousiastes et obtient 4 étoiles Jazz Magazine.En 2024, Camille est sélectionnée dans le dispositif WIZZ encadré par Anne Paceo et AirelleBesson, porté par Les Gémeaux, Scène Nationale de Sceaux, et Jazz sous les pommiers. Ce projet ambitieux met à l'honneur des musiciennes de la nouvelle génération de la scène jazz.Aujourd'hui elle mène de front plusieurs projets : Dekolaz, Grandes Dames, Chocho Cannelle, CAM&LEO, passant aisément de l'opéra au jazz, du maloya aux expérimentations électroniques. Son envie de créer et sa curiosité sont insatiables. Camille Heim est artiste associée de Jazz à Junas pour 2025/2026.
