Fifteen years after the release of his critically acclaimed album, French Stories, featuring songs by John Patitucci and Terri Lyne Carrington, pianist Cédric Hanriot, collaborating with Herbie Hancock and Dianne Reeves, offers in this project a unique reinterpretation of these popular French songs (Brel, Gainsbourg, Fugain, Piaf). For this concert, Cédric Hanriot invites the fabulous trumpeter Raynald Colom—considered one of the finest European trumpeters of his generation, who learned his trade with Roy Hargrove, Clark Terry, and Wynton Marsalis while navigating the jazz, flamenco, and pop spheres. On double bass, Matteo Bortone is establishing himself nationally, not only as an instrumentalist, but also as a composer and bandleader, particularly after being voted "Best New Italian Talent 2015" by the journalists of Musica Jazz.
