Pieces to dance or cry to, a palpable emotion, an infinite palette of sound colors. It is at the heart of these thousand projects that Denis has agreed to take the opposite route and return to where it all began for klezmer in France in the 1950s, in the cellars and smoky bars. And as surprising as it may seem, it will be a first for him....

Chez Georges, c'est un bar à vin très sympathique de la rue des canettes, avec au sous-sol une magnifique cave voûtée, transformée le mardi en cave à concerts...Pour célébrer son engagement à renouveler sans cesse cette musique traditionnelle juive venue d’Europe de l’Est - « faire du neuf avec la tradition » dit-il joliment -, Denis Cuniot saura transmettre toute l’émotion et la joie mélancolique de l’âme klezmer.  Des morceaux à danser ou à pleurer, une émotion palpable, une palette de couleurs sonores infinie. C’est au cœur de ces mille projets, que Denis a accepté de faire la route inverse et de revenir là ou tout à commencer pour le klezmer en France dans les années 50, dans les caves et les bars enfumés. Et aussi surprenant que cela puisse paraître, ce sera pour lui, une première fois.
