Groove, energy and virtuosity will be at the heart of this Funky evening in tribute to Georges Duke, led by François Constantin, an outstanding percussionist who makes the club shake with pleasure every Monday, and who is surrounded by three exceptional musicians: Noé Chantraine on piano, whose touch and creativity evoke the innovative and eclectic spirit of Georges Duke, a master in the art of blending jazz, funk, soul and fusion; Romain Labaye, known for his groovy, supple and communicative bass playing, who anchors the quartet in a powerful, driving rhythm; and on drums our dear Tiss Rodriguez, whose dynamic, danceable playing is capable of thrilling bodies and ears alike. Together, they explore a repertoire rich in percussive riffs, syncopated rhythms, catchy melodic lines and passionate improvisations, in the tradition of the jazz-funk that marked the end of the 20th century and continues to influence today's music. Groove, énergie et virtuosité seront au cœur de cette soirée Funky en hommage à Georges Duke, menée par François Constantin, percussionniste hors pair qui fait trembler de plaisir le club tous les lundis et qui s’entoure de trois musiciens d’exception : Noé Chantraine au piano, dont le toucher et la créativité évoquent l’esprit novateur et éclectique de Georges Duke, maître dans l’art de mêler jazz, funk, soul et fusion ; Romain Labaye connu pour son jeu de basse groovy, souple et communicatif, qui ancre le quartet dans un rythme puissant et entraînant et à la batterie notre cher Tiss Rodriguez, dont le jeu dynamique et dansant est capable de faire vibrer autant les corps que les oreilles.
