Before joining the band L'Impératrice, Flore Benguigui began her singing career in jazz, particularly the swing of the 1930s and 40s. Every two months, she surrounds herself with the musicians she learned to play this music with almost 15 years ago—Pierre-François Maurin on double bass, Charles Tois on piano, and Maxime Mary on drums—to revisit her favorite jazz standards. The four of them draw inspiration from the American crooner and pianist Nat King Cole (1919-1965), delivering covers of his greatest hits as well as some of his lesser-known songs, always with a lot of joy, humor, and camaraderie. It's a musical journey through time, from the jazz of the 1930s to today, live on the Club stage!Determined to support emerging artists, our Club offers a series of bi-monthly residencies (one concert every two months) that allow them to present and develop a creative project in an environment conducive to creation....

Avant d’évoluer au sein du groupe l’Impératrice, Flore Benguigui a commencé sa carrière de chanteuse dans le jazz, plus particulièrement le swing des années 30-40. Tous les deux mois, elle s’entoure des musiciens avec qui elle a appris à jouer cette musique il y a presque 15 ans, Pierre-François Maurin à la contrebasse, Charles Tois au piano et Maxime Mary à la batterie, pour revisiter ses standards de jazz préférés. Les quatre comparses tirent le fil rouge du crooner et pianiste americain Nat King Cole (1919-1965) pour nous offrir des reprises de ses plus grandes chansons comme de ses titres les plus méconnus, avec toujours beaucoup de joie, d’humour et de complicité. Un voyage dans le temps au rythme du jazz, des années 30 à aujourd’hui, à retrouver sur la scène du Club !Décidé à soutenir des artistes en devenir, notre Club propose une série de résidences bimestrielles (1 concert tous les deux mois) qui leur permet de proposer un projet créatif et de le développer dans un environnement propice à la création.
