Every Wednesday and Thursday, Cinq Codet joins forces with Alex Swing Events to offer you varied and quality jazz evenings, in the chic and cozy atmosphere of its Chiquette restaurant.Heather Stewart is a unique voice on the international jazz and blues scene. Her repertoire consists primarily of American songs from the 1900s to the 1950s. She is inspired by singers Annette Hanshaw, Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Bessie Smith and interprets a variety of composers ranging from Irving Berlin, Scott Joplin, Duke Ellington, to Big Bill Broonzy. She has devoted her time to exploring acoustic blues music, string and jug bands such as the Mississippi Sheiks. Her musical precision, humility, and joy of playing have earned her four music awards for her jazz and blues albums. She has studied the roots of jazz and ragtime, which have helped give her a vocal timbre and fiddle sound unique among musicians of her generation.Based in Paris since 2016 after 15 years in Australia, she works with famous new groups such as Paris Jazz Sessions, Three for Swing, Leigh Barker Band, Orchestra Del Mar, Blue Mockingbirds and her group Hezz Jazz....
