A jazz club and jam session enthusiast, Jeanne Michard quickly came into contact with the cream of the Paris jazz scene on her first outings around 7 years ago. She ended up playing regularly with musicians from the Zoot Collectif and the Paris Jazz Sessions, among others. Surrounded by all these talented musicians, it was at this point that she felt the urge to write for a medium-sized band. In early 2023, she began writing an album, which she recorded at Zoot Sudio, based on the character of Jodie: every human being is constantly traversed by emotions - joy, sadness, melancholy, boredom, love? Jodie is an imaginary character with whom everyone is free to identify, a poetic pretext for trying to recount these states of mind through the various tracks that make up this album....

Adepte des clubs de jazz et des jam sessions, Jeanne Michard rencontre rapidement la fine fleur du jazz parisien lors de ses premières sorties, il y a environ 7ans. Elle finit par jouer régulièrement avec entre autres, les musiciens du Zoot Collectif et des Paris Jazz Sessions. Entourée de tous ces musiciens et musiciennes de talent, c'est à ce moment-là que lui vient l'envie d'écrire pour moyenne formation. Début 2023 elle se lance dans l'écriture d'un album qu'elle enregistre au Zoot Sudio autour du personnage de Jodie : chaque être humain est sans cesse traversé par des émotions, la joie, la tristesse, la mélancolie, l'ennui, l'amour... Jodie est un personnage imaginaire auquel chacun·e est libre de s'identifier, prétexte poétique pour tenter de raconter ces états d'âmes à travers les différents morceaux qui composent cet album.
