A seulement 25 ans, Lucy Wijnands a déjà tournée dans le monde entier, terminé une résidence avec le célèbre Birdland Big Band. Elle est devenue une habituée du Mezzrow de Manhattan et d'autres clubs de jazz et a remporté le prestigieux concours international Ella Fitzgerald.Lucy a grandi en chantant à Kansas City avec son père, Bram Wijnands, maître du piano stride. Elle a sorti son premier album, "Something Awaits", et s'est vu décerner des titres tels que "un formidable talent vocal" par le Hot House Jazz Magazine de New York et "une vocaliste de jazz exceptionnelle" par le Downbeat Magazine.
